Hello Everyone! Good to know that I wasn't the only one who couldn't post last week. I thought it was the cheap computer connection on my end, but I guess it wasn't. Mike, I am so sorry to hear about your father. With the weather you have in your neck of the woods, freezing is an option. You sound like me with all those you have lost: by 26 I had lost mother, father, first husband. I have no more in-laws of any type and I am an only child, so no brothers or sisters that I am aware of. I am trying to get my cremation arrangements out of the way before my son has to pay for them. My prayers go with you. Prayers to all those others who need them as well for illness, jobs, phones that don't work, whatever the need. We certainly are a frisky bunch on this BB. Wouldn't have thought of Bitsey in that light. Popeye, probably. When I was married the first time someone told me to get a bullwhip and hang it over the bed. Whoever got it first was in charge! Yehaw!! Could some of you with extra snow send it down here to NC. Not only are we waterless, we are now burning up in certain counties. Now they are talking about forest fires for the summer. If I listened to all the stuff about the weather I would go really crazy. There are clouds in the sky and rain in the forecast, but nothing falling. Matter of fact, the sun is shining right now. Y'all take care! Mary It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.

Mikiee, thanks but that won't work, wish it would, it would be a lot simpler. But Mr. B has came through again and they have sent everything I need over night UPS, so all should go well, this could be the begin of something very good for us. Keep us in your prayers, for sure. Margie, tell Mark he gotta get better, but then I bet he enjoys your "mothering" him. Po' baby. God bless and keep smiling

Awww Margie so sorry papa bear still isn't feeling well. I guess we all better make some chicken soup. That'll help. Speaking of Valentines day; Here's one for ya'll. A city out here has decided that to keep the children safe in the public schools, ANYONE that will enter any of the school buildings, (school sports, functins like valentines parties, musical concerts, volenteers, parents picking up children etc...) Have to fill out and sign a back ground check permission paper. In this B C they may require, credit history, driving history, criminal, mortgage/rental history, medical and educational background also, and so on. No person, be it parents, or other relitives will be allowed to be on the school property if they have not filled out and been approved to be there. If they are on the property they will be told to leave, if they do not they will be removed as tresspassing. I couldn't believe what I was hearing on the news at all last night. I mean after all what about privacy and such. AND if for any reason the school system decides they need to dig deeper, that paper gives them the right. Feedback anyone.? You might be able to find the info on the web, I'm not sure I haven't looked for it yet. The City is Plattsmouth. (sp?) As I awaken to each new dawn, I think of you my friends and Thank God for the blessings of friendships.

Pickle, Ummm, Sounds like a Lawsuit fixing to happen to me, hope the School board and distract has a lot of money. Which is cool, since you can't suit a city without their permission, but you can a School Board. God bless and keep smiling

Thanks for all the welcomes!
Margie - I saw about the gathering and I'm very intrigued. In looking on the gathering thread, it sounds like you guys certainly do put on quite an event! I'm thinking about seeing if hubby and I can make it work. It works out well b/c I have a cousin living right there in San Antonio that we could stay with no charge. She works at Six Flags if I remember correctly. (She works in theater as a behind-the-scenes person.)
And to clear up some confusion on how long I have been in Texas, I meant 7-8 months. I hit a wrong key. oops!

Liz .... knew what you meant. Since you were comfortable to make your way in here I was comfortable enough to give you a little crap. You will find that Lloyd and myself are the real shy ones in here. We are working on Popeye to crawl back into his shell a bit. He's getting there. I'm thinking, (amazing I know) that since this thread is loading so slow we should shut 33 down and get 34 going. See ya all on 34.

Hi, every one. My name is Reba and I am from Branson Mo.We just had some ice so like you all it has been cold around here. I have Fibromyalgia and know what pain is all about. As I was reading some of your notes, sorry didn't mean to be nosey, but this was my first time to come to this page. I saw how some of you were dealing with your pains. I wanted to share with you. Back in 2002 I had gained up to about 255 pounds , most that I had ever weight. After all when I got married 45 years ago I was only at 87 lbs. Well any way after doing a lot of reading and talking with some doctors at mayo and all I found a really great source of pain relief. I go and work out in the pool. I started with what is called AiChi. It is a very slow and clam moving in the water that is good for balance and mind. You want to be in very warm water and at least 4 ft deap so it is up to your shoulders. If you can't swim and if you have back problems you can get a belt called a joggers belt that will not only keep you afloat but you can learn to swim with it but it will support your back and take the preasure off your knees as well and you can do any thing you want. I have lost over 100 lbs and doing great. No pain in the water. My doctors use me as there model pas. and send others to me to train. I have taught myself to swim and now teach others and also teach other the art of AiChi as well as other things to do for pain relief in water. Well enough about that. If any of you get to Branson you will have to look me up and I will see that you get to go to a few shows. I work with a few. I am a seamstress and make costumes for some of the stars here. Try to stay warm and those of you that are a little to warm, send it up to us that are a little to cold right now, we would like to enjoy it too. ok. Reba

Well hi from Massachusetts !! We have our share of snow, and THEN some !! Last weekend, the news said we have already got more than our average snow total for the year, but it's only the middle of January, with still 2 more snow months to go!!
I'm sorry to hear NC is having no water !! I'd be willing to truck all the snow down to you, if I had a truck !! But fires are scary...I hope you don't have any of those !!
I recently recieved my set of stainless steel pans, after making my final payment on my "Life Membership". I'm very excited about this !! They are absolutely beautiful !!
I hope I can stop by again soon... you people are so friendly, I LOVE reading these forums !!
