I think Lloyd should send us a stogie when Ted is born. The weather is going to be nice here today. They say 65 for a high. The smoker is going to fird up here after a bit and I will be doing some ribs. The local grocery store ran them on special this last week for $0.99 a pound. We are having the neighbors over for supper tonight and a golf outing with them tomorow. Mindy ... there's nothing sissy about LMAO about some one elses pain.

We are sitting at a comfortable 50 degrees heading for 60. Same for tomorrow. Having people in tonight for another food and wine pairing. We are doing take out food this time. Having chicken wings, Chinese, Indian and I got mini strawberry cheesecakes at the bakery. Seems odd having company in for dinner and I don't have to cook anything. Although if Mike is smoking some ribs I just might invite all of us down there - we'll bring the wine and beer! Lloyd, I'm knitting booties for Ted! Have a great weekend everyone!

Guys you all are making me LMAO, which ain't helping the pain one bit. The pills are working real well, but since they make me MORE dope, I can't drive anywhere. I had my son bring me some can soup so I am not cooking per say.

I have heard that it can be very painful, my oldest son has been seeing the ER twice a year for the last six to eight years now with that problem. They keep telling him to drink more water which he does. He consumes about five times more water than I do and he rarely drinks any beer. Maybe that is what is wrong, no beer drinking on his part. Yes, I second the motion for a good Stogie and a nice large bottle of Ale. I'll even light up for that. Haven't had a burning weed in my mouth in years. And since I am down to a beer once every week or two I might as well go whole Hog. I would probably fall flat on my face if I did that.
It got up to seventy degrees F today and it is now 67.9 F at 1643 in the afternoon with clear skies. Went shopping yesterday and the only things that I haven't put away yet are the English Muffins. We buy a good month's supply. I will have to get that done as soon as possible. I managed to stow everything else yesterday after we got back from shopping. We hit Costco, Super Wally World, Sam's Club, New Balance Shoes and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Yesterday afternoon and then we came back home and I unpacked the car and then recorded everything that we purchased and then proceeded to stow everything in it's proper place and then I cooked supper. Ran out of energy and time for the muffins so I have to get those done now. My Bride sat there and wanted to know what was taking me so long as she was hungry. Keep smiling.

The ribs will be ready in one and a half hours. Serving with coleslaw, baked beans w/onion and bacon and hush puppies. Just wondering where the cheese and wine is. Lloyd ... any idea yet when Little Ted is going to be coming into the world to join his cousins? You had better get those stogies sent out so when Little Ted decides to show his face we can all light up and honor you. It sure is good of you to take one for the team.

Well Mikieee, I was told it could break up in it's traveling and come out in smaller piecies, which would be better for me. I have cutted back on some of the pain pills because it keeps me asleep and I haven't had any pain I haven't been able to handle as of yet if you know what I mean without going in to details. And I hate that drug feeling, I don't see how people can live like that. .I have drank so much water I sloch when I walk. I could go for a stoogie and ale right now too, but they said no alcohol.

Thanks everybody! That did the trick. My screen is back to normal. Lloyd, I'm sorry but Mark & I are both sitting here LOAO!!! I new family member is soooo exciting! Pebbles (my pet rock) will love it! She can "Rock" him in her "rocking chair"! Hope it passes soon and it isn't too bad. You have helped to put a little humor in a painful situation. I know what you mean about not wanting to feel drugged up all the time. I can't understand how people live like that all of the time. Oh well. The weather here was beautiful here today. I had the windows open and aired out the "House-a-tosis". I have to work tomorrow. Yes on Sunday. We have a huge case that is a mess and we have to do some major straightening out before it goes to mediation and then to trial. Love you all, "MA" & Pebbles. Good morning everyone. We had a wonderful weekend. Sunshine and temperatures in the 50's. That's just a nice little treat for a few more days to lull us all into a false sense of security. We all know what's coming but are pretending we don't. Had a great dinner on Saturday night. Started with a Polish Dill Pickle Soup. What a good soup! I'll be trying to make that one myself. By the time we finished that we had a little too much wine and had to just stay here and miss Mike's ribs. Sorry, maybe next time. We were discussing Lloyd's condition (see, Lloyd, you are even dinner table conversation) and one of the women who has given birth and had kidney stones said the pain is pretty close to being the same for both. So, it seems, that Lloyd is now experiencing something that few men have the "pleasure" to do. Way to go Lloyd! Have a great day everyone!

Lloyd ... just wondering how far apart the contractions are? We are waiting for Little Ted to join his family. Lynda ... you missed some mighty fine ribs. I thought you would be here and since you didn't show there were a couple racks left. They will not go to waist. It was sure a nice day for awhile yesterday. It was around 60 degrees and when we were on the 5th hole a cold front came thru and it dropped 10 to 15 degrees in the matter of minutes. They say back into the 60's today. If it wants to be 20 degrees above normal I will not complain.

Question? If we call our cold fronts Northerns and they come from futher north than Canadadadada, wouldn't they come even futher than the North Pole and if that is the case wouldn't they now be know as Southern???? I quess I will have to see my doctor since nothing seems to be happening on the Ted front. I still have to get the X ray and MRI that my doctor wanted last week. It is actually 60% here and we had rain yesterday.

Good morning, Ohana!! (Ohana means family...Lilo and Stitch) Lloyd, hope Ted arrives quickly....you'll be so caught up in raising him, you'll forget all about the pain. Drink lots of cranberry juice. I knew I should have been online this weekend...I totally missed out on ribs!! Friday I went to the Lady of the Lakes renaissance faire as a chaperone for my honey's school. It was kind of small, I thought, but the kids had fun. Most of them had never been to a ren faire before and were impressed by the period costumes and confused by the period language....some wanted to know if the people actually lived like that now.... We came home and honey went to go online and the internet wasn't working...we tried all the 'fixes' we know and wound up calling the internet company. It took several calls and more than an hour for them to decide what was wrong. They sent a guy out on Saturday afternoon to fix it. Our modem was broken, so he replaced it. It wasn't done until just before the game. Saturday evening was Gators v. Vanderbilt, so I made snacks...I made the 'Seared Sirloin Wrap with Creamy Chipotle Sauce' from the web-page, fried zucchini and jalapeno poppers, and a spinach dip and homemade tortillas. That seared sirloin was delicious!! The kids came down from Gainesville for the night and to go to the ren faire with us on Sunday. We had a great time at the ren faire...we actually were able to see everything since we weren't herding teenagers...it's like herding cats! It was a little windy, so there was a lot of dust blowing around. There was a lot more to see than on Friday.. We watched jousting and a falconer, part of a human chess match, bought some things for Christmas gifts. Most importantly, had a fun time with the kids. Lynda, I've never heard of Polish Dill Pickle Soup before. Please share the recipe. Well, I need to get going on chores and such... Have a wonderful day. kitty~

Bill ... just look at it that you will be getting fresh water in the pool and hot tub. I just hope most of the snowbirds are down there now to enjoy IDA. Lloyd ... you really don't want to carry Ted for 9 months. He will grow way to big. OUCH!!!!! kitty ... you could have come up for some ribs since Lynda didn't make it down. rarne ... don't wait for another month or two to pass before you come back.

Mikkiiieeeee, do I ever agree with that one for sure. I have no ideal if he broke up and got p--- off or wait and wake me up around 3:00 with more pain than I care to have. Of course I have the pain pills standing by. I went today and got the MRI for my neck and shoulder with was very interesting. That machine makes more noise and different sounds than anyone machine I ever heard. They told me to be perfect still with was next to impossible since I was about to LMAO at all of the wheeee, wrilddds, beeeppppp, groans and I think I even heard an Ouuukoooo or two also. It was a good thing they gave me ear plugs. Will find out next week what they found out. Oh before the MRI, this Doctor gave me a shot in the shoulder, but for some reason he seem to think it made me feel better for him to tell me what he was doing. "I am now picking up this 4" needle and sticking in your arm right at the joint betweent the ball and joint, can you feel it, good ,now I am going to squirp 2 gallons of this stuff there, You will feel some pressure about 200# worth there, but it will let up in a day or two, but will be back to normal by Friday for sure. There we are done, you don't feel a thing, do you?" I think that would be like telling a person you are fixing to shoot for breaking in your house, " See this nice shinny gun, it hold 10 brand new shinny .45 cal bullets, which will be coming at you just as fast as I can squeeze this trigger. Oh I don't mind giving them to you. But will you please put my TV down easy."

Good morning! Lloyd, if you had an old doctor, he was torturing you; if it it was a new doctor, he was being sensitive to your need to understand the procedure. I think if somebody is going to stab me with a 4" long needle, he better not be describing it...I'll hit him! I hate needles! The shot kind, not the sewing kind. It appears Ida made landfall in Alabama this morning as a tropical storm. It's supposed to turn to the right and go rain on Georgia. We're supposed to get rain this afternoon and evening, and maybe tomorrow morning. So is Ida making a u-turn and heading back south? Mike, by the time I found out about the ribs, they were all gone. Rayne, where in Florida are you? kitty~

Good morning, new family!
I'm happy to report that I got my little guy to eat asparagus the other night. I'd made a nice dish with chicken and some fire roasted tomatoes with wild rice that turned out really good. Now..I can't personally stand asparagus but the deal is to start eating healthier. I wonder if this counts though because while he loves vegetables, I had to bribe him with a McDonalds Happy Meal for supper last night in order to get him to do it...I'm such a good mom, eh!
Have been reading through all the posts..or trying to. Laughed a lot, cried too. I'm so hoping that next year is so much better for everybody.
Thanks again for the warm welcome. I really appreciate it.
And ..ummmm...Good luck birthing that baby, Lloyd, lol. I hope you feel better soon.

Hi, Kim! Welcome! How old is your asparagus eating little guy? We love asparagus at my house...I've steamed it, roasted it, grilled it, and made it into soup.....yum! Yes, the goal is healthy eating, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to get kids to eat anything! Mine are grown now, but the grandkids are going through picky stages. I just chuckle when the kids call or email and say 'Mom, how do I ....?' Your chicken dinner sounds yummy...care to share your recipe? And, I am sure you are a very good mom! kitty~

Kimm ... glad to see you made it down here. I'm not one who really cares if it's healthy or not just as long as we like it. Asparagus is one of our favs. Steamed, grilled or sautaed. I even take the healthy out of it and cover with a home made cheese sauce. popeye ... if them ribs turn out you will have to let us know how you done them up. You would think I was from the South the way I talk some times.

Well family, I am beging to think that Ted didn't have what it takes to be a KidneyStone, I think he broke up under all the pressure and got PO. I haven't had anymore pain where it was . But I am still taking gallons of water to be sure. Welll maybe not gallons. Actually Mikieee, the problems would still have came with me. And I am sure I would have been laughting more up there with you, which wouldn't had help the pain one bit, for sure.

Whoooooo ... down to 70. Better get a coupl cords of fire wood and get a big fire going outside. Then you can get out the CI and cook as you stay warm. Either that or you will have to go farther South for a few days until it warms up.

Good morning, Ohana! Absolutely, Mike! You know it's officially freezing outside when the temp drops below 75 in FL. I wish I had a fireplace....I'll have to bake and keep the oven going all day tomorrow! BRRRRR!!!! I'm seriously considering moving to the Keys. You only need socks maybe one day every five or so years. LOL Today we're getting rain...what a blessing! It rained most of the night; a nice soft rain...the good soaking kind...everything smells fresh and clean. Have a pleasant day. To all the veterans (and active duty personnel...you'll be veterans at some point)in the family: Thank you and God bless you for your service. kitty~

Bill .... sorry to learn that your having a bad day. Hope you feel better real soon. Mother nature is quite confused this year. In September we had late October weather. Now we are into November and we are having September weather. The temps have been running 15 to 20 degrees above normal. Not complaining one bit. The golf courses are running some fantastic deals since this is all extra for them.

Run the Air Conditioner???? Heck, Just open the front door here and enjoy the breeze. It was 34 degreesF when I fought my way out from under the covers, it is now 58.7 degreesF which is T-Shirt weather in this part of the Country and it promises to go all of the way up to at least 62 degreesF which is about 20 degrees above normal at this time of the year. I have a two story home and we DO NOT bother to heat the second floor where the bedrooms are as heat rises, besides that we have a nasty habit of sleeping with the windows open. We do close the door to the bedroom at night so as to not waste any heat. We do keep our thermostat down at night to 68 degreesF it automatically goes up to 70degreesF during the day for when we are up and about. My Girl Friend has to work on Black Friday from 0300 to 1100 at the new Super Duper Wally World where she works. They moved into the new working digs a couple of weeks ago and she is complaining that it is an awful long walk from one end of the store to the other. She is in "Lawn & Garden" and the washrooms are all of the way over on the other side of the store. I told her to take her roller skates to work, might as well enjoy yourself while heading for the bathroom. She said that it would be a nice idea but management probably wouldn't approve of it. So I asked her what wouldn't they approve of, she said both!!!! This is supposed to be the largest Super Duper Wally World built so far, one of our Sons talked about driving a front end Cement truck around inside of the building while it was being built and they were pouring the concrete floors. That is one large truck and it makes a regular back off-loader cement truck look like a childs toy.
Had the Insurance Company representative out this last Tuesday and he informed me that they will not cover the damage incurred this last July to my roof from the hail storm that happened at that time. Due to the storm I now have four new leaks in the roof. One by the Fireplace in the Livingroom, one in the Office where I am now sitting, one in the upstairs Bathroom(the water is coming out of the light fixture) and last but not the least I now have Niagara Falls in My Woodworking Shop. It is pouring in there right on top of my multispeed stand alone drill press. I will have to place a Plastic bag over it from now on as soon as it drys out completely. I will test it to see if it works before I cover it up. I used to have two large cabinets behind and to the side of the drill press but they fell apart and everything in them fell on the floor where it all resides now. I have all genuine Plaster walls throughout the house. water and plaster do not mix to well once the walls are dry. The plaster has a habit of Blooming and falling off of the walls and ceiling once it becomes damp and then wet. I am not a Happy Camper at the moment. My Insurance agent won't be either once I cool off and talk to him. I have to fix the roof real soon especially the back roof after that it is a toss-up which of the other two roofs will be next.
Everybody have a real wonderful Day and also a Very Special Happy Thanksgiving. There are three of us that I know of on the CCoA that are descended from the Original Pilgrims who were at the First Thanksgiving. Sara Bastings, Judy Light and Myself.
