“Every time we would peel potatoes, we’d put the peels in a plastic bag and kept on going until we were done. The Veggie Peel leaves absolutely no mess while you’re peeling. Once it’s full, all you have to do is open the trap, dump the scraps in the garbage and start all over again. It’s a great product.”

“The ease of the Veggie Peel is wonderful. I’m left-handed, and it was so comfortable in my hand. There was no cramping or wrist pain as with regular peelers.”

“I think this is a truly unique and innovative invention. It makes peeling vegetables and fruits so easy to clean up. I like that I don’t have to scrape up my peels when I’m done. I just empty the canister into my food waste container. Cleanup’s a breeze. Plus, the peeler is dishwasher-safe. What could be better?”

“Cleanup was a snap—no more scooping out the sink. I vermicompost, and this tool made quick work of the peelings and easy food for the worms. It works great on potatoes and asparagus. I also used it to thinly slice carrots for a Vietnamese salad; the presentation was lovely.”

“It’s a good way to keep your countertops and cutting boards clear of debris so you don’t have to constantly clean them up in order to continue cutting and peeling other veggies. I also used it for fresh Parmesan cheese, and it allowed me to just pour it into the serving container. I also used it for making soap curls from fancy glycerin soap for my guest bathroom.”

“I used this item at home first, and it worked great. I’m also the head cook for several large men’s social clubs. I took this peeler to the last couple of gatherings and asked several other men to try it and see how they liked it. They all loved it, and I had a hard time getting away with it after the cooking was finished. They really liked it because they could sit back in a chair at a table and peel away without worrying about the peels.”

THE BEST VEGIE PEEL EVER!!
IT ONLY took me a minute to figure it out and then I was off to the races. Now I wonder HOW I ever did without it!! Clean up's a breeze, even w/out a dishwasher! I never have to touch the blade, all the peels come right out of the container just by tapping, lightly. It's the best peeler ever, plus saves loads of clean up and no messes every again! I KNOW YOU'LL LOVE IT, RUN RIGHT OUT AND GET ONE! HONEST, from Tucson, AZ

Veggie Peeler
Most of the posts talk about potatoes and carrots or other small items, etc. I wonder how it does on rather difficult things to peel like eggplant or turnips or other hard-peel veggies. Also the container doesn't look very big. Just how often does it need to be emptied when cooking for an average family of 4-6 people? I wouldn't care to have to empty it after each potato or 2, especially when I use the super-sized potatoes!

How much does it hold?
In answer to your ?? Tauria515, it held 4 large potatoe peels for me, but please note that emptying it is a breeze; just tap it against your garbage can side and lock it back in, keep on going! Plus it rids one of that pesky chore of having to get all those peels out the sink, since they're SO VERY BAD for garbage disposals!!*** I've used mine to peel Jicama, and I don't think there's anything tougher than that stuff! I did help myself out, by making a slight cut in the peel to give it something to grap onto, and off to the races we went. 1 Huge Jicama later, then emptying for 1 time. I promise you'll wonder how you ever did w/out it. It's lot's stronger than hand held peelers, even those nice ones with the hand grips. I have 2 of those and now I only use this new product! I've given it as gifts to 3 familys and both guys and gals are raving about it here in Tucson! Good Luck! You'll be most pleased I'm sure!
