Staub 5-quart Bouillabaisse Pot
MSRP: $200

Online Rating: (9.5/10)

Make your kitchen seaworthy with the royal blue, 5-quart Bouillabaisse Pot from Staub. It’s ideal for preparing the classic French dish for which it is named, as well as seafood chowders or other one-pot meals. As food cooks, oils penetrate the pores of the enamel interior, creating a natural, nonstick surface.

PROS
I think this would be great for vegetable soups. I like the idea that it greases the pan on its own. Sounds great.

CONS
I am not much of a sea food eater so I would not be interested in the purpose for which it is named.

OVERALL
Sounds great for other things.

PROS
It's beautiful and shows off well. It also cooks everything slowly and perfectly. Nothing ever sticks. I use it both on the stove top and in the oven, and straight to the table as it is such an attractive serving dish too. Everyone loves the rooster on the lid. My grandkids often ask if the rooster is cooking for them today!

CONS
It is heavy. In fact, it is too heavy for me to keep in a cabinet or drawer where I have to stoop to remove it, so I keep it on the kitchen counter with flowers in it when not being used for cooking.

OVERALL
It is beautiful, expensive, and the most used pot in my kitchen. I use it with joy!
