Hi All,

I want to answer a few questions that were common amongst a couple of you.

First, logging in.  We are sending out an email to all members with instructions on how to do so, but I will also post them here.  Part of the benefit of the new site is a one login system, no more logging in to the site with your last name and member number, and then logging in to the forums with your user name and password.

Step 1.  Logging in to the new site for the first time.

If you are a club member, click here.

Step 2. Creating a new username and password.

You will have to add your last name and member number so the system can find your account, and then you will have to choose a user name and a password. (We suggest using the same username as that is how other members know you.)

Step 3.  You are in.

Private Messaging

The other issue a couple of you asked about was private messaging.  That is still here.  Here are some instructions:

To send a private message:

1. When viewing a thread, click on the member's name, you will see a brief profile, and a blue button that says "Message", click on it, and it will open a window for you to type your message.

To view private messages sent to you:

1. Click on "Member Forum", and on the main Member Forum Page there will be a white button that says "Control Panel" click on it to view your private messages, sent items, etc.

That's it!  Hopefully that wil;l help most of you out, we will answer other questions that pop up later.

First off thanks for all the feedback, we appreciate it.  To address some of the questions:

Ambassadors, I added a new avatar to your accounts, you should see that now on all your posts.

Private message is currently only for one person at a time.  We are actually working on a system to allow for more than one, but it could come in the form of a private board you access on your personal page, based on groups you create yourselves.  More on that to come.

The little people on the left aren’t there to alert you of a new message, but we are working on an icon that will light up/change color when a new post since your last visit has been added.

The post numbers you had were lost because those boards were owned by a 3rd party (which, among other reasons, is why we changed boards).  We had little control over the old boards, so both life members and non-members carried the same status for instance.  We also were at the mercy of the 3rd party if they were to discontinue their service, we could jeopardize losing all the info on those forums.

Lastly, in terms of recipes, yes there are some still being loaded.  They should be all up within a week (we have to format them a little differently on our end).  There are literally thousands to add, and its quite a big job, but I think most everyone will enjoy the cleaner look of the recipes, and more importantly (by popular demand) the printer friendly printouts of those recipes.

Well, it's now been a week since the launch of the new site. While there are some snags that we are smoothing out, there are several features on the site as a whole that make it attractive--with the biggest being the improvements in the look and printability of the recipes.

I want to thank you for your spirit. It is uplifting to see how much of a Club the Club is when it comes to the forums. You care--and let us know you care when there is a change such as this. Thanks again for your feedback and patience.

Quick update:

All recipes have now been loaded to the site.  There are literally thousands of them, so for those who asked, if there was a recipe you were using from the old site, and couldn’t find it here, take a look, it should be loaded now.

Search:  There are two search boxes, the first one is right below the “Join the Club Today”/magazine cover stuff on the upper right of the page.  This one works on all content, recipes, product reviews, etc.  It does not however work on searching the forums.  We are working on that now.  The second search box, which appears with your results, does not work for some reason, and we are looking in to it.  Please use the one on the upper right, above the navigation bar for searching for recipes while we fix the other one.

I will take a look at the Product Testing link, and change that today.
