Hi - and welcome to the club. If you scroll down a little from the Cooking For Two catagory (where this post is located) - you'll find a catagory for Slow Cookers. You'll probably find some very good recipes posted there - and if you don't find one that fits what you're looking for, you'll stand a better chance of getting good responses there. In the mean time - here's a very simple but good recipe for doing chicken in a slow cooker. 4 pounds roasting chicken (pieces or a whole hen) 3 tablespoons melted butter 1 teaspoon tarragon 3 tablespoons chopped parsley 1/3 cup dry white wine ** onion powder, salt and pepper to taste * Wash and dry chicken inside and out * Sprinkle inside and out with salt, pepper and onion powder * Put chicken in cooker breast side up - brush with butter - sprinkle with parsley and tarragon * Add wine by pouring it next to the chicken - not over the top (don't want to wash away the herbs) * Cover and cook on high for 1 hour - then turn to low and cook for 8-10 hours - until chicken is done ** Whenever cooking with wine - always use a good quality table wine rather than cooking wine - it comes out a LOT better "Save Your Spoon!"

I belong to a lot of cooking forums so I don't know where I orgianally found it but this was fantastic. 1 beef roast 1 jar of pepperchini's (liquid too) 7-10 cloves of garlic whole Throw it all into a slow cooker, crock pot. At low for 8 hours or 6 hours on high. I served it one night with baked potatoes, the next night as burritos, and the next night inside enchilada with a green sauce. The meat just melts in your mouth.

Do you mean pepperoncini? These are thin 2 to 3 inch long chiles that have bright red, wrinkled skin, have a slightly sweet flavour and can be slightly hot. Sold most often pickled and used as part of an antipasto.
